2013 Nissan Pathfinder Study Shows

Just moments ago, it was Toyota that teased its upcoming NS4 Concept car, and now it's Nissan's turn to peel some layers off its next Pathfinder before its world debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show that begins (for the press) on January 9th.
Following the release of a single darkened image of the Pathfinder concept's profile in the third week of December, Nissan issued two new photos that reveal the crossover's face and rear end.
Even though the Japanese company insists on calling it a concept, it's evident from these photos the Pathfinder that we'll see in Detroit won't differ much if not at all from the production model set to go on sale in North America next fall. And let's not forget that Nissan's luxury arm Infiniti did the same thing with the JX crossover last year.

Easy Ways To Raise Your Car Using Jiffy Jack in the Standard

Sometimes, the simplest ideas are the hardest to consider. Sure you can get an automatic jack to lift your car, but the guys from Mighty Car Mods posted a humorous video with a pretty simple solution for those that want to make use of the standard jack and a pretty common household tool, a cordless drill. You can check it out right after the break.

2014 Ford F-150 Aluminum Body Panels

For decades, America's best-selling pickup trucks turned a collective blind eye to what were foreseeable technological advances in most areas of their construction as Detroit's Big Three preferred simple solutions that significantly hiked up their profit margins.
However, these past few years, automakers like GM, Ford and Chrysler are slowly trying to modernize their trucks mostly in the name of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, especially now that the U.S. Corporate Average Fuel-Economy standards are getting stricter.
We've already seen some advances on the engine front including the availability of Ford's EcoBoost V6 on the F-150 and GM’s hybrid lineup, but there's more to come in different areas than you'd normally expect.

Toyota Video Teases New NS4 Plug-in Hybrid Concept Car

In addition to a very closely cropped teaser photo, Toyota has now published a new video on the NS4, a plug-in hybrid concept car that will be fully revealed at next week's 2012 North American International Motor Show in Detroit.
While mystery continues to shroud the details on the NS4, the new promotional clip gives us a sneak peek on some of the car's styling and tech elements such as instrument panel and center console.
We also get a quick glimpse of a few sketches that appear to be showing a coupe or perhaps a sporty looking four-or five-door fastback, but we can't be sure. Follow the break to watch the video for yourself.

The analyst gurus at R. L. Polk & Co have issued a new forecast for global vehicle sales in 2012. The automotive market intelligence firm predicts that sales are expected to rise 6.7 percent over 2011 volumes to 77.7 million vehicles, thanks to the global economy riding out the European debt crisis and consumers returning to showrooms.
However, this does not mean that the European car market will recover. On the contrary, Polk estimates that Europe will be the only region where sales will be flat or slightly down to just over 19 million units due to the tight financial plans enforced by most governments.

An airbag-related issue has made Honda tell its dealers to stop sales of certain used cars until a recall campaign to fix the defect is carried out.
Honda took the decision in spite of the fact that federal law requires automakers only to stop selling new cars when a recall campaign is issued, as it does not demand the same for used vehicles.
